About Me
Hi! I'm Dat Vu
I started my journey by pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from Regis University in Colorado. Following the completion of my degree, I embarked on a pursuit to fulfill my aspiration of working in a Michelin-starred restaurant, which I accomplished while residing in New York.
During my time in New York, I came to the realization that my true passion lies in the field of software engineering.
I am proficient in JavaScript, Python, Node.js, HTML5, CSS, React, Express, Redux, Webpack, Babel, Jquery, API, PostgreSQL, Three.js, D3, React, Bootstrap, Heroku, Git, and knowledgeable with Github and Figma. I can write efficient code, develop full-stack applications, optimize performance, and create engaging data visualizations. With these skills, I can execute successful full stack projects.
As a proactive member of the community, I have been privileged to participate in several community outreach programs such as the Chinatown Blockwatch and ThinkChinatown! in New York. Through collaborative teamwork, we were able to make a positive impact and contribute towards the betterment of our community.
Overall, my passion for software engineering has led me on an exciting career pivot, and I am eager to see where my skills and knowledge will take me next.
